Cycling event

In September, Avenue organizes an inspiring cycling event, as part of its annual tradition. The event takes place in Mechelen at the company’s headquarters and offers two different cycling routes. The first ride, a scenic 40 kilometers, provides a more relaxed experience for recreational participants. The second ride, covering 65 kilometers, offers a challenge for cyclists with more professional equipment and training.

After crossing Mechelen’s picturesque landscapes, all participants come together again at Avenue’s headquarters for a well-deserved lunch. This is the perfect opportunity for riders to exchange stories and experiences, and to make new business connections.

Avenue likes to think outside the box, and in 2023, alongside the unique experience, an element of charity was added. The day concluded with a live auction led by Johan Museeuw, who auctioned exclusive sports memorabilia and raised over €14,000 for Kom Op Tegen Kanker, a charity organization leading the fight against the disease.

“At Avenue, we strongly believe in the benefits of integrating sports into the workplace. Not only with weekly training sessions for our own team, but also with networking events that include both a charitable and sports-related component.”

With an attendance of around 50 cyclists, Avenue’s third annual cycling event was an exciting mix of sport, networking, and philanthropy for both cycling enthusiasts and supporters of a noble cause.
