Avenue's Founding Story
Avenue was born from a dream shared by three childhood friends—Stijn, Kenneth, and Hendrik—with the common ambition to revolutionize the real estate sector. Driven by a shared vision to truly put clients at the center, they used their years of experience at a publicly traded international company to take action.
With over ten years of expertise, they took a leap of faith. They joined forces and created a team of top real estate professionals, driven by a hands-on approach and an entrepreneurial mindset that truly helps clients move forward.
To ensure engagement and deliver exceptional results, they created a flat, flexible structure that fosters a dynamic environment for creativity and innovation. At Avenue, it’s all about collaboration and realising dreams-together with you.

Vincent Braet
Retail Investment Consultant
With a background in economics and experience at KPMG, Vincent combines his analytical acumen with a passion for inner-city retail real estate. He has strengthened the Avenue team since January 2023 and works with ambition to stay at the top of the sector. Aside from his professional drive, Vincent is an avid fan of padel, football and travel – always looking for new challenges, both on and off the field. Elena Pieters
Retail Consultant
Elena is a driven retail consultant with a passion for high-street rentals. Her favourite project? Elena thinks out-of-the-box and looks at files in our sector in an innovative way. This is how she grew from young potential to a permanent fixture! Her very first letting, CKS in Antwerp-the first always remains special. In the future, she hopes to set up a development dossier in the city centre, where she can offer total advice in both rentals and sales.
Hendrik Evens
Founder
Hendrik is passionate about building a strong business and has a clear vision that he communicates with infectious enthusiasm. Thanks to his strength and leadership, Avenue has become No. 1. Hendrik knows exactly where we want to go and has the talent to put the right people in the right places. Together with Kenneth and Stijn, he forms the ‘three musketeers’ of Avenue-an inseparable force that leads the way to success.

Founder
Kenneth is a born connector, founder of Avenue and the specialist in Out of Town Retail. He has been part of the Avenue team since day one and is determined to keep this fine group together and growing. As a music addict and Dj, he brings energy and harmony to every project.
Isabelle Cloots
Retail Consultant
Right from her start in April 2022, Isabelle has brought her infectious energy and determination to Avenue. Specialising in leasing Out-of-Town Retail, she works extremely hard to become the trusted advisor for retailers. She believes customers should always be able to come to her with questions and opportunities. Isabelle’s enthusiasm, stubbornness, and solution-oriented attitude make her a real driving force for her customers. Always eager to learn and never taking ‘no’ for an answer, she is a vessel of energy that shines in her work every day.
Simon Vandenberghe

Simon is a passionate retail consultant specialising in the sale of out-of-town retail properties. He has been part of the Avenue team since March 2024 and has already made his mark in the sector. His ambition for the future? To become the point of contact for retail real estate together with Avenue. Simon is a go-getter, always determined to achieve his goals. Outside work, he is a sports fanatic, enjoys good food and is a true F1 fanatic. He never gives up!
Fammeke Horions
Investment Consultant
Fammeke has been an invaluable force within the Avenue team since 2021. With a keen eye for inner-city retail properties, she has specialised in this asset class. Her favourite project? The sale of Antwerp Tower, an iconic property in her home city of Antwerp-a project that perfectly combines her passion for real estate and her love for her city. Outside of work, she travels the world, always looking for the latest trends in hospitality, retail and interior design. A true trend watcher, both on and off the shop floor.
Karel Burrick
Residential Specialist
After studying Commercial Engineering, Karel discovered the drive he was looking for in the dynamics of the real estate sector. With eight years of experience at, among others, a large residential developer, an international real estate agent and a technology start-up in Switzerland, he has completed deals of different volumes within real estate. Karel is energetic, his enthusiasm is contagious, and he believes that being there for others is the basis of a good intermediary. His goal? To build a team with Avenue in residential real estate and become the point of contact for both private wealth and institutional partners.
Kelly Jansen
Commercial Assistant
Kelly is the silent force behind the scenes at Avenue. With experience as a former Cabin Crew member at Brussels Airlines, she puts her passion for service and support to perfect use in marketing, events and office management. Caring, creative and with a good dose of spunk – make no mistake! – Kelly takes the team to the next level. Perhaps not always in the foreground, but absolutely indispensable as our true back-office queen!
Stijn Thomas
Founder
Stijn is a driven entrepreneur with a strong focus on capital markets within the real estate sector. His ambition? To be number 1 with Avenue, both in leasing and selling retail properties, and to extend the success story to residential real estate. Always looking for the perfect balance between work and sport, Stijn is competitive and a real goalgetter. His years of experience as a dealmaker and his passion to make an impact in the sector make him a driving force behind Avenue. What’s next?
Bert Claes
Residential Specialist
Real estate is in Bert’s blood. After studying real estate, he built his career by getting to know the Belgian market from different angles: with developers and investors. Outside of work, Bert is a passionate cyclist and gravel rider – with him, your project will always be pedaling smoothly. A perfectionist and social animal, he loves being surrounded by people but also has a lot of depth. With thoroughness and team spirit, he’s someone you definitely want on your team.

Axelle is the link between real estate opportunities and investors. With a legal background and a keen understanding of the market, she is a trusted advisor to many family businesses. Her passion for real estate, combined with a personal approach, makes her a fixture at Avenue. Did you know that Axelle is also our fastest marathon runner? How she combines this with motherhood and her work? That remains a mystery, but one thing is certain: Axelle brings expertise, dedication and energy to every project.
Niels Busschots

Niels is the out-of-town retail specialist at Avenue, with a passion for creating opportunities outside city limits. Born a top tennis player, he has managed to transfer his willpower and competitive spirit to his work, always driven to win. A true workhorse, Niels knows the retail sector inside out and knows exactly where and how to achieve success with your concept. In the future, he aims to become the market leader in Out of Town Retail. Outside of work, Niels is a true wine lover and collector, so don’t hesitate to approach him for a business meeting over a fine glass of wine.
