Terms & Conditions – Avenue Pop-Up Contest 2025

1. Organizer

The Avenue Pop-Up Contest 2025 is organized by Avenue Real Estate BV, with registered office located at 1785 Merchtem, Osselveldstraat 4, KBO n° 0749.706.565 (hereinafter referred to as “Avenue” of “the Organizer”)

2. Objective of the Contest

The contest aims to support and promote ambitious entrepreneurs by offering one winner a pop-up retail space in Antwerp for the month of December 2025, along with professional guidance and strategic expansion advice.

3. Eligibility Criteria

To participate, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a registered company
  • Have been active for a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 10 years.
  • Have retail experience, either through an online webshop or an existing physical store.
  • Operate a maximum of one physical store at the time of application.
  • Be able to present a concrete plan for store design and opening.
  • Have a realistic budget available to cover operational and setup costs.

4. How to Participate

Participants must submit their application via the official form on Avenue’s website, including:

  • Contact information (name, email, phone).
  • Company and brand details.
  • Start date and business description.
  • Current sales network.
  • Marketing strategy for the pop-up.
  • Motivation (why you deserve to win).
  • Links and/or visual materials (optional but recommended).

Incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration.

5. Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated by a professional jury, consisting of (number) members, on the basis of:

  • Originality of the concept.
  • Professionalism and feasibility.
  • Brand fit with Antwerp.
  • Growth potential as a future Avenue client

The jury’s decisions are final and binding (non-appealable). No correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection outcome.

6. Timeline

  • 24 September – 22 October 2025: Applications open
  • 24 October 2025: Preselection by the jury
  • 27 – 31 October 2025: Interviews with finalists
  • 3 November 2025: Official announcement of the winner
  • December 2025: Opening of the pop-up store in Antwerp

7. Prize

The prize consists of:

  • Temporary use (for the winner) of the designated pop-up retail unit in Antwerp for the month of December 2025 (1 month), provided by QRF, who acts as Avenue’s real estate partner in this contest.
  • Basic rent and utilities during this period are covered by the Organizer, unless otherwise specified in writing.
  • Professional guidance from Avenue on permits, insurance, and expansion planning until December 2025 .

All other expenses, including but not limited to stock, staff, marketing, fit-out, and daily operational costs, remain the sole responsibility of the winner.

8. Responsibilities

  • The winner is responsible for all operational costs of the store (fit-out, staff, stock, daily expenses, etc.).
  • Avenue provides support and advice, but does not assume financial responsibility for operational or unforeseen costs.
  • Participants guarantee that all submitted information is true, accurate  and complete.
  • Avenue reserves the right to disqualify any participant in case of fraud, misrepresentation, breach of these Terms, or behaviour that could damage Avenue’s or QRF’s reputation.

9. Communication, Publicity & Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights relating to the Contest itself, including but not limited to its name, logo, promotional materials, format and content, remain the exclusive property of Avenue. Participants are not granted any rights to use these materials without Avenue’s prior written consent, other than for participation in the Contest.

All intellectual property rights concerning the participant’s brand, logos, designs, products, and materials submitted in connection with the Contest remain the sole property of the participant.

By entering and submitting an application, participants grant Avenue however a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual right/license to use the submitted materials (including their brand name, logo, images, application details and descriptions) solely for purposes related to the organization, promotion and communication of the Contest, across all media channels.

Participants warrant that all materials submitted are original, do not infringe the intellectual property rights of third parties, and that they have full rights to grant the above license.

Participants agree to indemnify and hold Avenue harmless against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from a breach of these warranties.

 

10. Data Protection

Personal data (such as name, first name, email address, telephone number, postal address, and the participant’s social media data) will be collected and processed in accordance with GDPR and used only for contest purposes.Personal data shall not be used for any other purposes without the participant’s explicit consent and shall not be disclosed to third parties, except where this is necessary for the execution of the Contest.

Participants may request access, correction, rectification or erasure of their personal data, or restriction of its processing, as well as the right to object to processing or to request data portability by contacting info@avenue.eu. Data will be stored for no longer than necessary (i.e. for maximum 3 months after official announcement of the winner) and shall thereafter be deleted or anonymized, unless a longer retention period is required by law. They will be stored only for the purposes of the Contest.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Organizer, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, losses, claims or expenses arising out of or in connection with participation in the Contest or the participant’s use of the retail space, the inability to participate, or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by Avenue.The Organizer, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be held liable for any technical issues or errors occurring in the course of participation in the Contest (including but not limited to issues with networks, servers, access providers, computer equipment, or software, nor for the failure of any email or entry to be received due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or on any website, or for any combination thereof), nor for any delays, cancellations, amendments, or other circumstances beyond the Organizer’s reasonable control.

If the designated location becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, Avenue reserves the right to provide an alternative location or cancel the prize, at its sole discretion, without any liability whatsoever towards the participants or third-parties.

12. Force Majeure & Contest Cancellation

Avenue reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the Contest in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control, without any liability towards the participants and without compensation of any kind.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by Belgian law. Any disputes arising from or related to the Contest shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Antwerp.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting the application form, participants acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions in full.

The pop-up location is provided by QRF, who acts as the real estate partner in this contest.
